Ali is one screen with a sidebar. Once you know what the three groups in that sidebar mean, you know where everything is.

## Home is a question box

The screen you land on is not a dashboard. It greets you, gives you a box to ask Lia something, and puts four prompts under it that are worth stealing the first time: today's brief, investigate risk, draft a status update, open a project from a brief.

Your recent conversations sit below, and **View all** opens the full history under **Lia** in the sidebar. Ask from here and the conversation continues there.

## The sidebar, group by group

**Overview** is what needs you today.

- **Lia** is the assistant and every conversation you have had with her.
- **Inbox** is where agents post what they analysed, newest first, with filters for unread and what needs action.
- **My tasks** is everything assigned to you, grouped by due date, project or priority.

**Workspace** is where the work lives.

- **Projects** lists your projects, and each one expands to its own tabs.
- **Docs** is your documentation, written in Ali.
- **Agents** are the workers that run on a schedule and report back. See [Agents](/agents).
- **Clients** holds the accounts and the notes attached to them.
- **Knowledge base** is the files Lia reads before answering. See [Knowledge base](/knowledge-base).

**Settings** is the plumbing: [Integrations](/integrations), which owners and admins see, and **Settings** itself, which holds the company, members and seats, billing, your account and your security.

Below that sits your plan card, with seats, the Ali token balance for the cycle and when it resets.

## Search, and the keyboard

**⌘K** (**Ctrl+K** on Windows and Linux) opens the command palette from anywhere.

![The command palette, listing destinations, projects and documentation](/images/start-guide/search.webp)

It lists every destination in the sidebar, your projects, your documentation and the help links, and it filters as you type. It is faster than the sidebar for anything you can name, and it is the one shortcut worth learning on day one.

## The top bar

Three things live up there: the button that collapses the sidebar when you want the width, **Connect MCP**, which is where you hook Claude or Cursor up to this workspace, and **Ask Lia**, which opens the assistant from wherever you are.

## Your account menu

Your name at the bottom of the sidebar opens the menu for everything that is yours rather than the workspace's.

![The account menu, with profile, settings, theme, language and log out](/images/start-guide/account-menu.webp)

**Theme** takes Light, Dark or System. **Language** switches the interface between English, Português (BR) and Español, and it is per person: changing yours does not change anybody else's.

## Where to go next

**[Integrations](/integrations)**

Bring Lia into Slack, GitHub or Discord, and write up your meetings automatically.

**[Agents](/agents)**

The recurring work, done on a schedule, reported into a channel or your inbox.

**[Knowledge base](/knowledge-base)**

Teach Lia what is inside your contracts, price lists and notes.

**[MCP](/mcp)**

Reach the same workspace from Claude, Cursor or your terminal.
